{"id":350466,"date":"2024-10-20T00:42:27","date_gmt":"2024-10-20T00:42:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/uncategorized\/bsi-19-30386794-dc\/"},"modified":"2024-10-26T00:29:45","modified_gmt":"2024-10-26T00:29:45","slug":"bsi-19-30386794-dc","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/publishers\/bsi\/bsi-19-30386794-dc\/","title":{"rendered":"BSI 19\/30386794 DC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This part of <span class=\"std\"><span class=\"std-ref\">ISO\/IEC&nbsp;7816<\/span><\/span> specifies directly or by reference, data elements, including composite data elements that may be used in interindustry interchange.<\/p>\n<p>It identifies the following characteristics of each data element:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>identifier;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>name;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>description and reference;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>format and coding (if not available in other ISO standards or parts of <span class=\"std\"><span class=\"std-ref\">ISO\/IEC&nbsp;7816<\/span><\/span>).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The layout of each data element is described as seen at the interface between the interface device and the card.<\/p>\n<p>This part of <span class=\"std\"><span class=\"std-ref\">ISO\/IEC&nbsp;7816<\/span><\/span> provides the definition of data elements without consideration of any restrictions on the usage of the data elements.<\/p>\n<p>It does not cover the internal implementation within the card and\/or the outside world. With the exception of login data objects (<span class=\"xref\">6.5<\/span>), only application class tags are eligible in this part of <span class=\"std\"><span class=\"std-ref\">ISO\/IEC 7816<\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>When using an interindustry template, an application is allowed to nest context-specific class tags (see <span class=\"std\"><span class=\"std-ref\">ISO\/IEC&nbsp;7816-4<\/span><\/span>) under such a template unless it is previously marked as Reserved for Future Use <span class=\"std\"><span class=\"std-ref\">ISO\/IEC&nbsp;JTC&nbsp;1\/SC&nbsp;17<\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><b>BS ISO\/IEC 7816-6.
