{"id":271548,"date":"2024-10-19T18:12:28","date_gmt":"2024-10-19T18:12:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/uncategorized\/bs-en-16334-22020\/"},"modified":"2024-10-25T14:26:27","modified_gmt":"2024-10-25T14:26:27","slug":"bs-en-16334-22020","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/publishers\/bsi\/bs-en-16334-22020\/","title":{"rendered":"BS EN 16334-2:2020"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This document specifies the characteristics of the Passenger Alarm System (PAS) for Urban Rail.<\/p>\n<p>This document covers the PAS fitted to the passenger carrying Urban Rail rolling stock and specifies:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>the safety related requirements;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>the functional requirements of PAS triggered by passengers;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>the requirements for the communication channel between passengers and the driver or Operations Control Centre (OCC);<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>the requirements for the functional behaviour of the PAS;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>the requirements for the degraded modes management;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>the requirements for the Passenger Alarm Device (PAD) and PAD area.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This document is applicable to the categories&nbsp;I to III of Urban Rail rolling stock defined in <span class=\"std\"><span class=\"std-ref\">CEN\/CLC&nbsp;Guide&nbsp;26<\/span><\/span>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>(I) metros;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>(II) trams;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>(III) light rail.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"non-normative-note\">\n<div class=\"note-label\">\n  NOTE&nbsp;1\n <\/div>\n<p><span class=\"std\"> <span class=\"std-ref\">CEN\/CLC&nbsp;Guide&nbsp;26<\/span><\/span> defines Metro, Tram and Light Rail as public transport systems permanently guided at least by one rail, intended for the operation of local, urban and suburban passenger services with self-propelled vehicles and operated either segregated or not from general road and pedestrian traffic.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"non-normative-note\">\n<div class=\"note-label\">\n  NOTE&nbsp;2\n <\/div>\n<p>The PAS function on existing vehicles could require modification to work in conjunction with vehicles that comply with this document.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"non-normative-note\">\n<div class=\"note-label\">\n  NOTE&nbsp;3\n <\/div>\n<p>This document covers urban rail rolling stock, both with or without a driver.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"non-normative-note\">\n<div class=\"note-label\">\n  NOTE&nbsp;4\n <\/div>\n<p>For rolling stock devoted to suburban passenger services, this document applies when the TSIs do not apply.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><b>Railway applications.
