{"id":268592,"date":"2024-10-19T17:57:54","date_gmt":"2024-10-19T17:57:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/uncategorized\/bs-en-1870-142007a22012\/"},"modified":"2024-10-25T14:02:22","modified_gmt":"2024-10-25T14:02:22","slug":"bs-en-1870-142007a22012","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/publishers\/bsi\/bs-en-1870-142007a22012\/","title":{"rendered":"BS EN 1870-14:2007+A2:2012"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This document specifies all significant hazards, hazardous situations and events as listed in Clause 4 which are relevant to manually loaded and unloaded vertical panel sawing (with or without integrated feed) machines fitted with:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>the facility for scoring;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>an angle cutting device;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>a middle support device;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>a programmable stop for parallel vertical cuts;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>the facility for grooving with a width of at most 20 mm in one pass by using a milling tools,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>hereinafter referred to as &#8220;machines&#8221; when they are used as intended and under the conditions foreseen by the manufacturer including reasonably foreseeable misuse.<\/p>\n<p>The machines are designed for cutting panels of the following materials:<\/p>\n<ol style=\"list-style-type:lower-alpha\">\n<li>\n<p>wood based materials such as chipboard, fibreboard, plywood and also these materials where they are covered with plastic \/ light alloy laminates;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>solid wood;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>hardened rubber and hardened plastic material;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>non ferrous materials e.g. light alloy;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>compound materials with core consisting of polyurethane or mineral material laminated with light alloy.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>This document does not apply to vertical panel saws with pressure beam and saw unit mounted behind the workpiece support.<\/p>\n<p>This document does not deal with hazards relating to the combination of a single machine being used with any other machine (as part of a line).<\/p>\n<p>This document is not applicable to vertical panel saws which are manufactured before the date of its publication as EN.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>NOTE Machines covered by this standard are listed under 1.4 of Annex IV of the Machinery Directive.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><b>Safety of woodworking machines.
