This Publicly Available Specification ("PAS") specifies the visual requirements for high visibility safety garments to be worn by people engaged in work on or visiting an airport apron in situations where they may be exposed to hazard from moving traffic or from moving plant or equipment in the charge of an operator. Covers garments suitable for day/night-time wear. It was commissioned by the Australasian Aviation Ground Safety Council to run parallel with AS/NZS 4602:1999 and prepared by Technical Committee P5859: Aviation High Visibility Safety Garments with Australian and New Zealand representation. This PAS is intended for use in both Australia and New Zealand.
