Scope

This Standard establishes technical requirements and minimum performance requirements for land mobile radiocommunications equipment, operating in the 2 MHz to 30 MHz bands, to give satisfactory performance in Australia and New Zealand.The equipment covered in this Standard applies to single sideband suppressed carrier transmitting and receiving equipment operating in the J3E mode only, intended for operation in fixed and land mobile radiotelephone services and includes base and hand-held portable stations.
