The accounting<br \/>\ninformation is exchanged as Home Accounting Segments (HASs) between<br \/>\nServing Service Providers and Primary and Routing Service<br \/>\nProviders. (See Figure 1023-1)<\/p>\n<p>HASs are sent as an X.400 InterPersonal Message (IPM) within an<br \/>\nExternal Body Part (see [TIA\/EIA-732-620]).<\/p>\n<p>This Part describes the mechanism for exchanging summary and<br \/>\nsettlement information between Service Providers. Summary<br \/>\ninformation includes the results of rating and taxing the usage<br \/>\nactivity as recorded in HASs. It also includes charges for other<br \/>\nactivities.
