Details of engine test setup and<br \/>\nexhaust gas analysis techniques are specified with the intent of<br \/>\nproviding a uniform and reproducible method of measurement.<\/p>\n<p>The intent has been to allow as much flexibility as possible in<br \/>\nthe physical construction of the experimental apparatus. Therefore,<br \/>\nonly those portions of the apparatus whose operation is critical to<br \/>\nthe accurate measurement of emissions levels are prescribed in<br \/>\ndetail.<\/p>\n<p>An engine test procedure including a test sequence is outlined<br \/>\nsuch that it would cover the various applications in which small<br \/>\nengines are used.
