This Standard specifies the storage, conditioning and test conditions (temperature\/humidity\/time), and marking, preparation and dimension measurement methods of rubber test pieces for use in physical tests.<\/p>\n

\nSpecial conditions, applicable to a particular test or material or simulating a particular climatic environment, are not included, nor are special requirements for testing whole products.<\/p>\n

\nIn this Standard, rubber is used as a general term of vulcanized rubber, thermoplastic rubber, raw rubber and unvulcanized rubber (compound).<\/p>\n

\nNOTE 1 Annex JA summarises test items, measuring items for evaluation and outline of test required in physical tests of rubber.<\/p>\n

\nNOTE 2 The International Standard corresponding to this Standard and the symbol of degree of correspondence are as follows.<\/p>\n

\nISO 23529:2016 Rubber\u2014General procedures for preparing and conditioning test pieces for physical test methods (MOD)<\/p>\n

\nIn addition, symbols which denote the degree of correspondence in the contents between the relevant International Standard and JIS are IDT (identical), MOD (modified), and NEQ (not equivalent) according to ISO\/IEC Guide 21-1.<\/p>\n
