Bei der Mehrzahl der Lebensmittel liegt Vitamin D nat\u00fcrlicherweise als Cholecalciferol, Vitamin D3, vor, und dieses ist die zu bestimmende Form des Vitamins. Vitamin D2, Ergocalciferol, ist zuweilen in angereicherten Lebensmitteln enthalten und kann ebenso mit dieser Europ\u00e4ischen Norm bestimmt werden. Einige Lebensmittel enthalten sowohl Vitamin D3 als auch Vitamin D2. Diese Europ\u00e4ische Norm ist auf solche Proben nicht anwendbar. Diese europ\u00e4ische Norm gibt die Grundlage f\u00fcr Analyseverfahren wieder.
