These parts indicate the fuel dilution of the oil. Due to incomplete combustion, fuel can condensate in the cylinder of the engine and enter the engine oil. This document applies to petrol according to DIN EN 228 and diesel fuel according to DIN EN 590, based on mineral oils.This document does not apply to fatty acid methyl ester according to DIN EN 14214 and vegetable oil according to DIN 51605 as well as gaseous or high alcoholic fuels (e. g.
