{"id":41508,"date":"2024-10-17T06:11:14","date_gmt":"2024-10-17T06:11:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/uncategorized\/astm-e679-1997\/"},"modified":"2024-10-24T15:33:46","modified_gmt":"2024-10-24T15:33:46","slug":"astm-e679-1997","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/publishers\/astm\/astm-e679-1997\/","title":{"rendered":"ASTM-E679 1997"},"content":{"rendered":"<\/p>\n<p>1.1 This practice describes a rapid test for determining sensory thresholds of any substance in any medium.<\/p>\n<p>1.2 It prescribes an overall design of sample preparation and a procedure for calculating the results.<\/p>\n<p>1.3 The threshold may be characterized as being either (a) only detection (awareness) that a very small amount of added substance is present but not necessarily recognizable, or (b) recognition of the nature of the added substance.<\/p>\n<p>1.4 The medium may be a gas, such as air, a liquid, such as water or some beverage, or a solid form of matter.
