C<sub>11<\/sub> and heavier aromatics are reported as a group. C<sub>10<\/sub> and heavier non-aromatics may interfere with the determination of benzene and toluene. When this occurs, benzene and toluene can be determined by ASTM Methods D 5443, D 5580, D6729, or D 6839, or UOP Methods 690, or 870. Other applications for this method include the assay of any C<sub>10<\/sub> or lower boiling aromatics, such as benzene, toluene, mixed xylenes, etc. This method may also be used to provide a distribution of C<sub>8<\/sub> aromatics and\/or C<sub>9<\/sub> and heavier aromatics to a value determined by a different method.
