{"id":241338,"date":"2024-10-19T15:48:18","date_gmt":"2024-10-19T15:48:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/uncategorized\/bs-en-50264-2-12008\/"},"modified":"2024-10-25T10:37:06","modified_gmt":"2024-10-25T10:37:06","slug":"bs-en-50264-2-12008","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/publishers\/bsi\/bs-en-50264-2-12008\/","title":{"rendered":"BS EN 50264-2-1:2008"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>EN 50264-2-1 specifies requirements for, and constructions and dimensions of, single core cables of the following types and voltage ratings:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>0,6\/1 kV unscreened, unsheathed (1 mm<sup>2<\/sup> to 400 mm<sup>2<\/sup>);<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>1,8\/3 kV unscreened, unsheathed (1,5 mm<sup>2<\/sup> to 400 mm<sup>2<\/sup>);<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>1,8\/3 kV unscreened, sheathed (1,5 mm<sup>2<\/sup> to 400 mm<sup>2<\/sup>);<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>3,6\/6 kV unscreened, sheathed (2,5 mm<sup>2<\/sup> to 400 mm<sup>2<\/sup>).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All cables have class 5 tinned copper conductors to EN 60228, halogen-free insulation and halogen-free sheath. They are for use in railway rolling stock as fixed wiring, or wiring where limited flexing in operation is encountered. The requirements provide for a continuous conductor temperature not exceeding 90 \u00b0C and a maximum temperature for short circuit conditions of 200 \u00b0C based on a duration of 5 s.<\/p>\n<p>Under fire conditions the cables exhibit special performance characteristics in respect of maximum permissible flame propagation (flame spread) and maximum permissible emission of smoke and toxic gases.<\/p>\n<p>EN 50264-2-1 should be read in conjunction with Part 1 \u201cGeneral requirements\u201d.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><b>Railway applications.
