Description

This British Standard applies to calcium plumbate based priming paints for use on iron, steel, galvanized iron and other structural materials.

Specifies requirements for two types of material differing mainly in their calcium plumbate contents: composition, sampling, consistency, finish, colour, drying time, flexibility and adhesion, keeping properties and marking of the containers. Appendices give a method of test for the determination of consistency, the method for the preparation and coating of the panels for testing, and methods of test for the determination of drying time, flexibility and adhesion.
