These layers are described in<br \/>\nPart 401 and Part 402, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Communications between the M-ES and the Mobile Data Intermediate<br \/>\nSystem (MD-IS) occur at the Logical Link Control (LLC) and<br \/>\nsubnetwork convergence protocol layers. These layers are described<br \/>\nin Part 403 and Part 404, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Radio Resource Management (RRM) procedures are performed at the<br \/>\nphysical, MAC and LLC protocol layers. These procedures are<br \/>\ncollectively responsible for maintaining communications while the<br \/>\nM-ES moves between cells and between the serving areas of different<br \/>\nMD-ISs.
